For my first art challenge I chose the 2D project. I wanted to draw a wolf. I found a really good video on the internet and watched it, following the steps to draw a wolf head. It took me a lot of time and patience, but I got it done. It took almost 3 hours with all my time put together. I had to erase and redraw on several things a bunch of times until I was at least semi-satisfied. The thing I had most trouble with was drawing the fur, but in the end, I think it turned out okay.
Printmaking was a fun process. We first drew whatever logo we had decided on into a piece of linoleum. Then we carved out whatever we wanted white, or our first color. In my case, it was the moon and the wolf. Then, I chose my color of ink, blue. I inked up the brayer and ran it over my linoleum a few times. After that, I would then take out a large sheet of paper and place my logo onto it. I put a lot of pressure onto the logo and then cleanly pulled it off. I'd made my first print. I continued the process until I had covered the paper. That was my printmaking process. This is the logo that I created in art. I chose to draw this because wolves are my favorite animal, and I love reading, so I combined the two for this logo.
